Technical Lead for front end development

Spearheaded major refactor of both API and model layers across our full stack to improve application stability, ensure data integrity with validation decorators, and reduce maintenance overhead for new code

Wrote, maintained, and enforced UI/UX standards for our applications

Created designs for new features using Figma

First developer and sole front-end resource for the duration of my tenure

Worked with a designer to design and implement streamlined storefronts for use by farmers, restauranteurs, and consumers alike

Developed a custom solution for seamlessly stacking modal dialogs in AngularJs, closing a functionality gap in the framework with a solution that prompted the SRED evaluator to suggest I turn it into an open-source project

While studying, had co-op jobs with BSM Wireless, The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre, Cavera Inc, and numerous start-ups through the Communitech Business Incubator in Kitchener, Ontario. My experiences included static website design, the development of an e-commerce platform, BlackBerry app development, generating GIS widgets for ArcGIS, creating informational dashboards for major banks with huge client datasets, and even circuit design for a pressure-sensitive stylus.

This breadth of experience helped to develop a broad skill set, instilled professional resilience, and ensured that I had the tools I needed to pick up new technologies and proficiencies both quickly and efficiently.
